Tony JohnTony John

Anthony qualified as a Solicitor in 1973 and joined the firm in 1979 to specialise in all aspects of property work, with particular emphasis on the sale and purchase of development land and businesses, particularly those with a liquor license. Anthony also handles foreign property transactions in Spain and Portugal. He also deals with lease renewals under the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954.

Mark PreeceMark Preece

Mark qualified as a Solicitor with another Dorset practice in 2008 and joined our expanding property department as an assistant Solicitor in June 2011.

Since qualification Mark has specialised in all aspects of property work. Acting for clients buying, selling or leasing residential, agricultural and commercial property locally and further afield. Mark also often acts for clients looking to buy or sell businesses.

Recently Mark has worked on the following transactions:-

Acting for a Landlord on the granting of a Section 278 Agreement for a substantial leasehold commercial development

Successfully represented a Landlord at the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal applying for Service Charge dispensation

Acting for the participants in a contested collective enfranchisement in Bournemouth

Statutory and Non-statutory Lease Extensions acting for both Landlords and Tenants

The granting of and subsequent exercise of an Option to Purchase a commercial premises

Mark and his wife live in Corfe Mullen with their two young children.

Richard LlewellynRichard Llewellyn

Son of a local Bournemouth Solicitor, K G S Llewellyn, born and raised in Sturminster Marshall and attended Castle Court School, Mill Hill School and the College of Law. Qualified as a solicitor in the mid 1970’s following a period of traineeship in Poole and worked in London from 1972 until returning to Bournemouth in 1982.

Richard became a Partner with Marshall Harvey’s until 1992 and then a Principal with Roger Gomersall in Llewellyn Gomersall until Llewellyn Gomersall amalgamated with Horsey Lightly Fynn on 1st April 2007.

Richard’s primary training following qualification was in probate trust administration taking into account Will construction and powers of attorney. This interest has continued and although in the mid 80’s and 90’s he undertook a great deal of domestic conveyancing and commercial conveyancing, now as a Consultant with Horsey Lightly Fynn he has returned to specialisation in this field as a Consultant in the private client department.

 

Charlotte HaggertyCharlotte Pottinger

Charlotte joined the firm in September 2007, having worked for a busy conveyancing department in her hometown of Exeter.

She is a Conveyancing Executive and deals with all aspects of residential conveyancing, transfers of equity, remortgages and lease extensions.
Charlotte enjoys spending her free time with her husband and dogs in the New Forest.

Robert HabbittsRobert Habbitts

Born and educated in Berkshire, Robert holidayed in Bournemouth with his family, and when the chance came for him to read Law at Bournemouth University, he never looked back.

After graduating Bournemouth University with a Degree in Law, Robert then attended the College of Law in London where he studied the Bar Vocational Course.

Called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2010, Robert returned to Bournemouth in the hope of furthering his career in Law. The opportunity came when he was offered a job as a Legal Assistant at Horsey Lightly Fynn in March 2011.

In his position as a Legal Assistant, Robert worked mainly in the Residential Property and Private Client Departments where he gained an understanding into these areas.

Robert joined the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives later in 2011 as a Graduate Legal Executive and remained in his position as a Legal Assistant furthering his understanding in residential conveyancing and private client work.

In March 2014 Robert was promoted to his current role within the firm and mainly practices in all types of residential conveyancing, but continues to deal with private client issues.

During his spare time, Robert enjoys going for walks either along the coast or in the countryside, playing golf (badly) and spending time with his friends.
