James Cain
James joined our Bournemouth office in September 2007 having previously worked in both the public and private sectors. He obtained a Masters degree in Town Planning from the University of Liverpool in 2002 and his initial posts were with a local authority as both a Development Control Officer and Strategic Planner. In 2004, he joined a multi-disciplinary firm specialising in the fields of renewable energy and telecommunications as a Planning Consultant. After obtaining chartered status as a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute in 2005, James progressed to become a Senior Planning Consultant at the same Cheshire firm, managing a team of planners obtaining a variety of planning permissions across the north and midlands.
At Horsey Lightly Fynn, James has an all encompassing caseload and has the ability to assist with any planning related project ranging from obtaining planning permissions and conducting feasibility studies to enforcement matters and appeals. He gives planning advice to large organisations as well as smaller businesses and private individuals
James' main work areas include;
- Preparing and submitting Planning Applications
- Providing representation at planning enquiries and appeals
- Advising and preparing submissions on LDF proposals.
- Liaising with local authorities on planning matters
